Brew Crew Studio - Building Community & Supporting Arts Education through Experiential Learning
We are a veteran-founded 501(c)(3) nonprofit with the mission of empowering artists to use their skills to make a positive impact on their communities. One of the primary ways we empower artists is through skill-building through working on public art projects. Our access to a wide-ranging pool of talented designers, artists, and collaborators uniquely gears us towards working on these large-scale public art projects, where we pair experienced designers with student artists, who work in teams to learn skills from each other in the service of creating public art for cities and towns across the US.
We at Brew Crew Studio strongly believe that building community networks brings people together in dialogue, and we believe that community networks are best forged through the powerful and transformative experience of art. We offer free art education workshops in our local community, hosted at Bird Block Studio, and we often take on public art projects by partnering with cities and communities in need of public artworks outside of our local region. Our team consists of artists and educators living and working in Blacksburg, Virginia, with ties to Virginia Tech.
